| There are two types of Carbohydrates. ‘Simple carbs’ and ‘Complex carbs’. The Simple carbs is what you want to stay away from! They consist of sugar, flour, white rice and other refined grains that are not good for your body. When eating this type of carbohydrate, it will leave you feeling unsatisfied and craving more, which in turn has no value for your body. The good carbohydrates are ‘complex carbs. These consist of fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains. These foods will keep you feeling fuller longer and will satisfy your cravings. As well, they have great nutritional value It is not true what those fad diets say, “Don’t eat carbs and you will lose weight”. This is WRONG! It is essential to eat carbohydrates but the trick is to choose the right ones! |
