So I am on my smartphone, reading an online personal training program that one of our clients was working on as their home fitness routine and just had a great idea. Nothing mind blowing but why don’t I do a body stretch while I read this email or just after depending on type of stretch.

Everyone checks their smart phones many, many times a day. Just think about it. Sometimes we do it without even realizing to stop and think how often we check our phones. With all the dings, beeps and notifications. What if we made a commitment to ourselves that every time we check our phones, we would do a physical stretch.

It’s a great way to add more to your fitness routine in the limited time you have throughout the day. Give it a try and you’ll start to see and feel the physical benefits.

I’ve always found it hard to fit stretching into a fitness routine without taking up another 20 minutes to do so at the end of a workout. So why not say “I check my phone at least 20 times a day. Every time if check my phone for 1 minute. I am going to do a minute stretch.”
