Healthy Recipies

 

1)  Angela's Mouthwatering Waffles

        1 3/4 cup Spelt flour

 1)   1 Tbsp baking powder

        1 tsp salt

        3  eggs

2)   1 1/2 cup skim milk

       2  tbsp canola oil

       1/2 cup berries (any kind)

Combine 1 + 2

2)  POWER PANCAKES

1/2 cup egg whites

1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal

1 tbsp milk

Cinamon to taste

put all ingredients in blender and cook as you would pancakes.

 3)  FRESH FISH

 1 1/2 pound Halibut (sea bass)

2 Red Bell peppers, cut into thin strips

3 medium leeks, white part only (wash really well and cut thin)

Marinade

3 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce or tamari

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp white wine

2 cloves garlic minced

2 quarter size pieces of fresh ginger root minced

Wash fish & pat dry. Combine marinade + place fish in glass dish.

Pour marinade over fish.  Leave for about 1 hour in fridge turning from time to time.

Bake, grill or broil fish, then take marinade and place in large frying pan on medium.

Saute above veggies 15 min, until soft.  Add topping to fish when fish is cooked then serve.

4)  SUSIES BREAKFAST POWER HOTCAKES

250ml egg whites

2 tbsp cottage cheese

Cinamon to taste

 

Splenda to taste

 

½ tsp baking soda

 

½ tsp baking powder

 

Mix together- pour into sprayed muffin tin.

Place in toaster oven for 20 min on 275.

 

Top with yogurt and berries.

 

For carb version.  Just add oatmeal.
